Review of Episode 10 of Nanatsu No Taizai : Fundo No Shinpan

Episode 10 of seven deadly sins: Judgment of Dragon’s sin was mostly based on desperate situations faced by all who were fighting because since Merlin needed some time to stop the time of cocoon in which Meliodas is being cultivated to become the new demon king, some were trying to stop her whereas other were trying to protect her.

Since Esconer lost power, he asks Mael to recognize his Grace and encourages him to accept his true self. On the other hand, Ludociel who was fighting against the first demon was on edge. In simple words, episode 10 was like a tug of war between Zeldris team and the seven deadly sins team. At some point, it was quite difficult to estimate which team has a higher hand. When the seven deadly sins group and Mael join the fray, they contribute to protecting Merlin. Mael with the help of his Grace managed to toss the first demon from Camelot but Zeldris was determined and was desperate to fulfill his promise. Even though he was left alone, he uses everything to stop Merlin’s spell but in the end, he fails to do so. When he thought was his chance to meet his lover Gelda whose whereabouts are only known to Meliodas, then something unexpected happen which no one estimated it would.

When everyone was celebrating as they brought an end to the holy war, Hawks went to check on cocoon but he found that there was a crack in it and Meliodas might have escaped. At the end of the episode, it is shown that Meliodas in his new form makes an appearance that terrifies everyone and Zeldris says that ‘Welcome Demon King”.

Though my assumptions made in the previous episode are not clear yet but we can’t deny those assumptions because the fate of Meliodas and Elizabeth depends on the new demon king and his emotions. Let’s see whether Meliodas fulfills his promise to Zeldris to reveal information about Gelda. To be frank, this season is slowly killing the interest to watch the series. I think the main reason may be due to the pace at which the story is moving. It seems there is no enough story left and anime creators are stretching the plot intentionally.
