Today they are many series which are being produced every
day. Some are action series whereas some are romantic series and some are
comedy series. In Thailand, BL series are trending now a days. It is not
necessary that a person belonging to LGBTQ community only watches those series
rather people from different aspects also preferring those series because now a
days it is difficult to find series with good story line with romance and
comedy. Only Thai BL series are being produced with that essence. Influence of Thai
BL series is in such a level that even international viewers are getting
attracted that's why demand for series with subtitles is getting increased.
Some of Thai BL series which are worth watching are listed below:
1. Sotus
This is about a couple in the engineering college. Arthit is a third year student who is a head hazer. He has to discipline his juniors which are mostly fresher. Kongpob is one of his juniors who were being hazed by Arthit but he opposes to the hazing practices. As story moves forward both of them become friends and those turns into love. This series has a sequel known as ‘Sotus S’ which focused on professional life of Arthit and Kongpob.
2. Love by chance
Pete is a rich kid studying in international language faculty
who is being harassed by his former boyfriend for money. Ae, a science and
sports faculty student saves him. Destiny makes them cross their path in
various situations. They face many situations and come closer to each other.
Later part of story also focuses on Tin-can relationship. Tin is classmate of Pete
who had crush on Pete in the beginning and can is fellow soccer club member and
close friend to Ae who wants to protect Ae-Pete relationship from tin. In order
to protect them he involves himself with tin and both of them fall for each
other. Their story will be concluded in love by chance season 2 which is
expected to release in 2020-21.
3. Tharntype series
It is derivative of love by chance. In that series Tharn and
type are supporting characters but in this series they are lead characters.
Tharn is handsome music faculty student and type is science and sports faculty
student. Both are roommates. Type is homophobic and when he learns that Tharn
is gay, he uses all possible ways to make Tharn move out. In that process both
of them fall in love. This series has a new concept and plot twist which made
this series popular worldwide. It's season 2is in making and will be released
in 2021.
